The Beaches

The Entrance region beaches are considered some of the finest in the world.

With golden sand and crisp clear ocean water, the beaches are a popular location for not only tourists and visitors but the locals as well.

For your safety, there are surf life savers who monitor the conditions during the summer season and ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable time.

It is recommended to all beach goers that they swim between the flagged areas, which are patrolled and located usually in front of the Surf Life Saving Clubs.

Beach fishing is also very popular, especially in the summer months and visitors should remember to bring along their fishing equipment.

It is important to note that fishing licenses are required for adults and regulations apply to protected species as well as size and quantity limits. Regulations can be viewed in our fishing section.

As always, it is recommended to apply plenty of sunscreen when enjoying the beaches and if you forget to pack yours, there are plenty of shops available to purchase some more.

Sunbaking, sand castles, fishing, swimming, playing games and surfing. Sound like fun? Well it is.

Come to The Entrance and enjoy these activities all year round and see why so many have enjoyed the experience and continue to come back over and over again.
