Memorial Park
Memorial Park is the focal point of all activity in The Entrance
and has been ever since the land on the foreshore, where Memorial
Park is now located, was donated to the town by the original
owner Richard Brown Taylor.
Every day you see people enjoying themselves with
the shows, markets on the weekends, rides and jumping castles,
picnics, flying kites or
just kicking a ball.
It has one of those atmospheres where "life is beautiful all the
time".
In the summer holidays, on any given day, you can have thousands
of people just relaxing here soaking up the sun.
It is one of those locations that tourists travel from all over
the world to be part of.
From the park it is a hop skip and a jump to the
local retail shops, walk ways, bike paths, skate park, beaches, restaurants
and cafes, beer gardens
and fast food outlets.
