Many of the streets and thoroughfares around The Entrance have historical significance.

Listed below are the streets with their meanings:

Manning Road: Named after John Dye Manning. Registrar of the Supreme Court. Owner of The Entrance in the early 1930's.

Battley Avenue: Named after John Thomas Cade Battley. Owner of The Entrance from 1936. Built first brick homestead.

Taylor Street: Named after Pioneer Taylor. Owners of The Entrance from 1854.

Richard Street: Named after Richard Brown Taylor. Pioneer who resided at The Entrance in 1885.

Norberta Street: Named after Norberta Maria Gertrude Taylor (nee Watkins) and wife of Richard Brown Taylor.

Dening Street: Named after Henry and Adele Dening (nee Taylor). Original proprietors of Bayview Guesthouse.

Bayview Avenue: Named after the Bayview Guesthouse.

Ozone Street: Named after the Ozone Guesthouse.

McGirr Avenue: Named after Dr. John McGirr. Son in law of Mr Ray Taylor.

Duffy Avenue: Named after Charles Duffy. First store keeper at The Entrance.

Ambler Parade: Named after Mr and Mrs J Ambler. Later proprietors of the Bayview Guesthouse.

Victoria Street: Named after Mrs Victoria Denniss (nee Taylor). Owner of Tuggerah House.

Torrens Avenue: Named after Torrens Title, the land title system.

Coral Street: Named after a large coral tree that once grew there.

Bent Street: The original road had a right angle bend.

Short Street: Because it was short.

Norfolk Street: Named after large Norfolk pines that grew in the locality of Old Taylor Homestead.

Willow Street: Named after the creek of the same name adjoining road.

Warrigal Street: Aboriginal name for dingo.

Benelong Street: Named after a young Aboriginal boy named Benelong who fraternised with early settlers of the colony.

Nimbin Street: Aboriginal name meaning "big stone"

Boondilla Street: Aboriginal name meaning "meeting of waters"
